In 2011, we built 4 new homes in Smith County, thus helping Habitat for Humanity International to rank as the sixth largest builder in the US, according to an annual survey completed by BUILDER magazine.
But we’re not just building and repairing homes. Our bylaws state that one of our purposes is to “implement the gospel of Jesus Christ in Smith County, Texas, and throughout the US and the world by working with economically disadvantaged people to help them to create a better habitat in which to live and work.” In other words, as we swing hammers, use caulk guns and install siding, we’re really putting the gospel of Jesus Christ into action.
We build homes. We build hope. We love people. It doesn’t get much better than that.
